Born out of a desire to recreate the best parts of '50s pickups with none of the downsides, Suhr worked with session guitarist Pete Thorn to create a pickup set that delivered clarity, versatility and soul. Perfect for playing clean, dirty, and crunchy, the Thornbucker provides mud-free tone no matter the amount of gain! Alnico IV magnets and plain enamel winding wire are connected to a four-conductor output for a wide variety of sounds from classic series tones, to split-coil sounds, and everything in between! This pickup is made in a 53mm spacing for tremolo equipped guitars and instruments with wider spacing at the bridge.
